For couples · pick one, then say why
Would you rather questions for couples
A good question here is a choice you can answer in a sentence, and then you have to say why. 26 of them are below. They stay on dates, kisses, and who makes the first move. The first eight are the fast ones, if you only have a few minutes.
How to play a round
- Sit where you can both see one screen. Agree that “neither” is an allowed answer, and that it ends that question.
- One of you reads the question out loud. Both pick a side before either of you explains.
- Each say why, in one sentence. A speech is a different game. That one is on the questions page.
- If you both picked the same side, write it down. That is a date. The deeper questions and a never have I ever round are the natural next lists, and all three fit in a couples game night.
The questions
Read one, both answer, switch who reads. Stop while you still want another.
- Would you rather cook badly together, or get takeout and actually talk?
- Would you rather go out for a long dinner, or stay in late with the lights low?
- Would you rather plan the date, or be surprised?
- Would you rather dance in the kitchen, or sit on the same side of the couch?
- Would you rather start the kiss, or be pulled in?
- Would you rather spend the evening on questions, or on dares?
- Would you rather hear a compliment you have never been told, or tell one you have been holding back?
- Would you rather stay in with a game, or walk somewhere with nowhere to be?
- Would you rather spend the morning in bed with coffee, or take a slow evening you do not have to end on time?
- Would you rather get a letter, or a voice note?
- Would you rather recreate your first date, or invent a new one from scratch?
- Would you rather hold eye contact until one of you laughs, or sit quietly with your heads together?
- Would you rather they take the lead all evening, or trade halfway through?
- Would you rather take a dare you can do from the couch, or a dare that means standing up?
- Would you rather replay your favorite kiss, or try one you have only talked about?
- Would you rather be introduced to a song that matters to them, or share one of yours?
- Would you rather stay in on a rainy night, or go out on a clear one?
- Would you rather write the rules for the evening, or follow them?
- Would you rather give a massage, or receive one?
- Would you rather talk about the future for an hour, or retell how you met?
- Would you rather play a silly game you can win, or a game whose only point is to get closer?
- Would you rather hold hands where people can see, or share a look across a room?
- Would you rather answer one deep question, or ten easy ones?
- Would you rather share a thirty-second goodnight kiss, or a forehead kiss and a long hug?
- Would you rather put the phones in another room, or keep one nearby and ignore it on purpose?
- Would you rather they whisper what they want, or swap notes and read them after?
One from the deck
Truth or dare already has a choice in this shape. In the game, “your partner” is filled in with their name. The rest of that warm-up, including the dares, is on the truth or dare questions page.
- Do you prefer being the one who starts it or the one who gets seduced?
Deal the next choice for you

How do you play would you rather as a couple?
Take turns reading one question. Each of you picks a side, then says why in one sentence. If you pick the same side, that is a plan, not a tie to break.
What if we pick different answers?
That is the useful part. You are comparing tastes, not keeping score. You can like their answer and still prefer yours.
Are these the explicit questions?
No. These are dates, kisses, and who starts. Knotty has hotter choices, and those stay inside the game, behind the heat setting.
Where do we play more?
Open truth or dare on Knotty and leave the heat on flirty. No account is needed on one phone. That deck is a different set of prompts, so you will not just repeat this list.
