For couples · flirty warm-up
Truth or dare questions for couples
A good round is short, turn-based, and easy to leave. These are the warm-up truths and dares from Knotty — the same cards the game deals when the heat is still on flirty. In the game, “your partner” is filled in with their name.
How to play a round
- Sit where you can both see one screen. Agree that either of you can skip, and that a skip ends that card.
- Take turns picking truth or dare. The other person reads the card out loud.
- Answer, or do the dare. A minute or two is plenty, so the turn comes back around.
- Stay on this list until you are both leaning in. Hotter cards live in the game, not on this page.
Truths
Questions only. Nobody has to leave the couch.
- What was the exact moment you first wanted to kiss your partner?
- What outfit of your partner’s drives you a little crazy?
- Describe your ideal slow, lazy morning in bed together.
- Which part of your partner’s body do you catch yourself staring at?
- What’s a compliment you’ve never said out loud but think often?
- What song puts you in the mood?
- Where’s the most unexpected place you’ve thought about your partner lately?
- What’s one thing your partner does that instantly turns you on?
- Kiss and tell: what was your favorite kiss we’ve ever had?
- What’s a date you’d love to recreate — and how would it end differently?
- Do you prefer being the one who starts it or the one who gets seduced?
- What’s the flirtiest text you’ve ever wanted to send but didn’t?
Dares
The gentle end of the deck. Nothing here needs a prop.
- Give your partner a slow, 30-second kiss — no hands allowed.
- Whisper something you love about your partner directly into their ear.
- Give your partner a one-minute shoulder massage.
- Kiss your partner somewhere other than their lips. Your choice.
- Slow dance with your partner to the next song that plays.
- Trace a word on your partner’s back with your finger. They have to guess it.
- Sit in your partner’s lap for the next round.
- Stare into your partner’s eyes for 30 seconds without laughing.
- Give your partner your best seductive look — hold it for 10 seconds.
- Kiss your partner’s neck three times, each one slower than the last.
- Let your partner pick one thing for you to say in your sexiest voice.
- Run your fingers through your partner’s hair for one minute.
- Introduce yourself to your partner as if you’ve never met — and try to get their number.
- Give your partner one order. They must follow it (nothing past a kiss — yet).
A limit is part of the game
If a card lands wrong, say so and draw another. The safeword guide is one page, and it is worth reading together before you go past kissing.

How many questions should we use?
Eight to twelve cards is a full evening. Read a truth, do a dare, then switch who picks. Stop while you still want another round.
What if one of us wants to skip?
Skip. A skipped card is not a verdict on the relationship, or on the rest of the night. Ask for a different card, or pass the turn.
Can we play on two phones?
One phone between you is enough for the list on this page. On Knotty, a free account also opens a shared room so each of you draws on your own phone.
Are these the explicit questions?
No. This is the flirty warm-up: compliments, kisses, a little nerve. Knotty has hotter heat levels, and those stay inside the game.
