For couples · a layer you named
Strip games for couples
Strip games for couples stay kind when the clothing is optional and named in advance. Two adults opt in, each person writes down the one item they are willing to remove, and a pass means that item stays on. On Knotty the other choice is spicy dice on the flirty faces: a kiss, a whisper, or a short massage, on a timer. You can play the whole night as dice and never take anything off. This page is the version where a layer of clothing is one possible forfeit, and it is never the price of staying in the game.
Opt in before anyone is daring
Say what the evening is, in ordinary language, while you are both still dressed and unhurried. “I want a short game where a forfeit can be one item we each named, or a flirty dice roll, and either of us can pass.” Then wait. A partner who says “maybe later” has answered. Play dice only, or play nothing, and leave the clothing idea in the drawer. The bedroom games page is a slower night of kissing and a massage if you want closeness with no forfeit at all.
Each of you writes one line on a scrap of paper, where the other person cannot coach it. The line is either a single item, or the word dice. Read them aloud before the first turn so nobody is surprised by the stakes. A sock and a scarf are a complete game. If one person wrote dice, their forfeits are rolls for the whole night, even if the other person wrote a cardigan. You do not upgrade someone to a braver line because you are feeling brave.
Keep the items easy to reverse. Outer layers, accessories, one shoe. If it would be awkward to put back on in thirty seconds, it does not go on the paper. The point of a reversible forfeit is that the game can end and you can make tea. A forfeit that changes the rest of the night is a different conversation, and it belongs in how to bring up trying something new, on a day when nobody is mid-turn.
A turn has three honest endings
Draw a flirty prompt, answer it, and then choose. Ending one: remove your named item yourself, slowly enough to change your mind halfway, and stop if you do. Ending two: roll the flirty dice and do that action for the time on the roll. Ending three: pass. The item stays on, the roll is thrown out, and the turn is over. All three endings count. Nobody owes a story about which one they picked.
- Read the pass rule out loud. A pass ends the turn.
- Confirm the two written lines. Change yours now if you want, before any prompt.
- Play for six turns, or twenty minutes, whichever comes first.
- The person whose turn it is touches only their own clothing.
- A dice roll can be softened: change the place, shorten the time, or throw it out and pass.
- Stop early if someone is performing. Say one thing you liked. Get water.
You never remove a partner’s clothing as part of the draw. If you want to be the one who takes their named item off, ask in the moment, about that item, and accept a no with the same face you would accept a pass. Their yes from the start of the game authorized their own hands. Your hands need a new yes. If that distinction feels fussy, stay with ending two and roll.
The flirty roll, when you would rather be close
The free dice are an action, a place, and a time, and the places stay above the collar and on the hands. These are real faces from that set, so you can see the size of the alternative before you open the app. “Until they say stop” means they can say stop. A timer is there so the roll ends even if you are both enjoying it. Enjoying it is a reason to finish the turn, and then take the next one, at the same size.
- Kiss their neck for 30 seconds.
- Massage their shoulder for 1 minute.
- Whisper to their ear for 10 seconds.
- Caress their hand for 30 seconds.
- Breathe on their cheek for 10 seconds.
- Kiss their lips until they say stop.
- Nibble their neck for 10 seconds.
- Massage their shoulder for 2 minutes.
The full warm set, and how a round is supposed to feel, is on the spicy dice page. Warmer faces exist in the game and open with a free account. They are a later yes, asked when nobody is mid-roll. This guide does not describe them. If you are curious, finish a flirty night first and talk about it on a different day. Curiosity during a turn is a feeling, and a feeling is a poor time to renegotiate.
Stop while it is still a game
If the evening might go past a kiss, read the safeword guide together before the first prompt. Green means keep the pace. Yellow means the next turn is softer: dice, or a question, or a pass. Red means everything stops, including the joke you were about to make. You do not need those colors to remove a sock. You need them the moment a forfeit could be mistaken for an order. Say the words while you are still laughing, so they are available when you are not.
A drink can sit on the table. It does not change the paper you wrote, and it does not turn a pass into a dare. If either of you is past the point of a clear choice, the round is over. Put the layers back if you want them back. The person who took something off decides when it goes back on. Leave the phone in the other room. A short game you would repeat next month is the one that worked.
Roll the flirty dice instead
Open spicy dice on the flirty faces. No account for that set. A roll is an action, a place, and a short time. Skip any roll. Warmer faces stay in the game.
Play it now, no signupCommon questions
Do we have to take anything off?
No. Write “dice” instead of an item and every forfeit is a flirty roll. A pass also keeps every layer on. The game is still a game if nobody removes a thing. Comfort is a valid way to win the evening.
Who chooses the item?
You choose your own, before the first turn, from things that are easy to put back: a sock, a scarf, a cardigan, a hoodie, a hat, one shoe. Your partner does not edit the list. Anything you did not write down stays on.
Can I take something off them?
Only if they point at the item in that moment and say yes. A yes from the start of the night is about their own hands, on their own layer. Their clothing stays theirs until they hand you that yes out loud.
What if we want a warmer round later?
Ask when this round is over, on another day. The flirty dice need no account. Warmer faces open with a free account, and they are a separate yes. This page stays on the warm set on purpose.
