Date night games at home
Stay in, use one phone, and stop while the evening still feels good. This is a two-hour plan built from prompts Knotty already deals: a few deep questions, the flirty end of truth or dare, a private yes/no/maybe slice, and four dice rolls. Hotter cards stay in the game.
A two-hour plan
- Before you start. Phones face down, except the one with this page. Snacks if you are going to get hungry and cranky. Agree that a skip ends that card.
- First twenty minutes — questions. Ask the six below, taking turns. The rest of that list is on questions to ask your partner.
- Next half hour — truth or dare. Use only the cards in the next two sections. The full warm-up deck is the truth or dare questions.
- Twenty minutes — yes, no, or maybe. Each of you marks the ideas further down, where the other cannot see. Compare only the overlap, and pick one shared yes for this week. The full flirty menu is the yes / no / maybe list.
- Last twenty minutes — four rolls. Do the dice lines below, then stop. The faces and the rules are on the spicy dice page. If you are not in the same city, use the long-distance games instead of this plan.
Questions to open with
Six is enough. Both of you answer, not only the person who was asked.
- When did you last feel properly looked after by me, and what was I doing?
- What does a good ordinary Tuesday look like for us?
- How do you like to be comforted when the day has gone badly?
- What is a small habit of mine you hope I never drop?
- What would you want me to do on a day you are quiet?
- How do you actually know I love you? The evidence, not the slogan.
Truths
From the warm-up deck. Read one, answer, switch.
- What was the exact moment you first wanted to kiss your partner?
- Describe your ideal slow, lazy morning in bed together.
- What’s a compliment you’ve never said out loud but think often?
- What song puts you in the mood?
- Kiss and tell: what was your favorite kiss we’ve ever had?
- What’s the flirtiest text you’ve ever wanted to send but didn’t?
Dares
Kisses, a dance, a look. Nothing here needs a prop or a closed door.
- Give your partner a slow, 30-second kiss — no hands allowed.
- Give your partner a one-minute shoulder massage.
- Kiss your partner’s neck three times, each one slower than the last.
- Trace a word on your partner’s back with your finger. They have to guess it.
- Slow dance with your partner to the next song that plays.
- Give your partner your best seductive look — hold it for 10 seconds.
Ideas to mark in private
Yes, maybe, or no. A no is not announced. These lines are from the couples list, the same wording the game uses.
- A candlelit, no-rush night
- Slow dancing that ends in the bedroom
- Writing each other a steamy letter
- A sexy weekend getaway
- A hotel night just for this
- A midday rendezvous
- Pretending to be strangers who just met
- Picking each other up at a bar
Four rolls to end on
The person reading does it. The other person can ask for a different one.
- Kiss their neck for 30 seconds.
- Massage their shoulder for 1 minute.
- Whisper to their ear for 10 seconds.
- Caress their hand for 30 seconds.
Start with the free round
Truth or dare on Knotty is the piece you can open with no account. Leave the heat on flirty. Spicy dice and the full yes/no/maybe list are free too, once you have an account.
Play free on KnottyCommon questions
How long is this date?
About two hours, including time to talk. Stop at the end even if you want one more round. You can play again another night.
What do we need?
One phone, a place to sit, and a rule that either of you can skip. Food is a good idea. A drink is optional, and nothing in the plan depends on one.
What if we only have half an hour?
Do the six questions and four dice rolls. Save truth or dare for a longer night. A short date you finish beats a long one you abandon.
Can we play this if we are apart?
This plan assumes one couch. If you are in two cities, use the long-distance games on Knotty. The prompts there were picked because they work on a video call.
